MLB props FAQ
What MLB player props does EdgeTake cover?
Batter props — hits, total bases, home runs, RBIs, runs, and stolen bases — plus pitcher strikeouts. Every player with enough playing time gets a page with a game-by-game log, hit rates at common lines, and home/away splits.
How are the projections made?
Each projection blends a player's season per-game rate with their recent (last-10) form, then adjusts for the matchup: the opposing probable starter and ballpark for hitters, and the opposing lineup's strikeout rate for pitchers. See the methodology page for the full model.
What is the 'edge' on a prop?
The edge is the gap between our projection and the market line. A positive edge leans Over, negative leans Under. The best edges board ranks the biggest gaps across the slate, refreshed daily.
How often is the MLB data updated?
Stats and projections refresh daily during the season, and pages revalidate automatically — so what you see is current without a redeploy. Market lines populate when odds are available.
Are these betting picks?
No. EdgeTake publishes data-driven projections and analysis for informational and entertainment purposes only — not betting advice, and no outcome is guaranteed.
